Jesper Buch is a leading entrepreneur, famed for founding one of the world’s largest and most successful e-commerce platforms of modern-day. Shaping a revolution in the takeaway food industry, Jesper developed one of the world’s leading aggregator apps and is now booked as a speaker for a range of corporate events. Best known for his e-commerce business, Jesper is the founder of Just-Eat.com. A food aggregator app, Jesper pioneered a service that would allow business owners to advertise their services on a platform that would collate customer’s favourite takeaway options in one place. Since founding the company, Just Eat has given Jesper immense success and he has also gone on to be the founder of Seedster and GoMentor and co-founder of Miinto.com. He has also become an investor, making headlines as the first Danish star of Dragons’ Den and Shark Tank.

Before founding his successful takeaway app, Jesper was a member of the Norwegian Armed Forces, The Forsvaret, where he reached the rank of First Lieutenant. He also spent time as a trainee in the Royal Danish Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. After leaving the Armed Forces, Jesper honed his entrepreneurial spirit to formulate the concept of Just Eat. Started in his basement, Just Eat initially failed to break even, yet Jesper was not disheartened and continued to strive to make his business a success. Taking a leap of faith, Jesper decided to bring Just Eat to the UK, where it rocketed in popularity and is now one of the largest e-commerce businesses worldwide.

Outside of founding his own businesses, Jesper has been an investor and seed investor in countless other companies. He has been a seed investor in companies such as Shaping New Tomorrow, REC Watches and Jukeit. He has also been an investor in companies such as TreeTops, Autovice, Reshopper and Hungry Group. Off the back of the success of his company, Jesper has also become an author, having written the titles Kick Ass and All In. He has also claimed recognition as the 2013 Young Global Leader from the World Economic Forum and been named in the Top 100 Most Influential Tech People in Our World list by WIRED. He has also claimed the 2014 Pioneer Award and the Investor of the Year award at the Nordic Startup Awards in both 2014 and 2017.
