Adam Rivera

Adam Rivera is Chief Legal Officer at Inbenta, a global AI technology company, where he leads the legal and compliance function and serves as Corporate Secretary. A seasoned practitioner at the intersection of privacy law and AI governance, Adam helps organizations navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of data protection, AI regulation, and responsible technology deployment.

Recruited directly by Inbenta's CEO to build its global legal and compliance function from the ground up, Adam has led the company through M&A, financings, and restructurings while designing a scalable compliance program with deep expertise in privacy and AI governance. He serves as a close advisor to the Board and the company's private equity investor, and is a cross-functional partner to Inbenta's technology and product teams.

Before joining Inbenta, Adam led a global privacy compliance team at DoorDash, overseeing privacy, data, and AI governance during a period of rapid growth. He previously served as Head of Privacy for the Americas at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where he played a key role in the integration of Refinitiv following its acquisition by LSEG. His privacy career also includes significant GDPR leadership at Thomson Reuters — where he led a global GDPR readiness program spanning over 45,000 employees — along with compliance and employment law roles at Louis Vuitton. He began his legal career at McDermott Will & Schulte in New York City. Adam has also served as Co-Chair of the IAPP Connecticut KnowledgeNet Chapter.

Adam holds a B.S., MBA, and J.D., along with multiple industry certifications. He speaks and advises on privacy law, AI governance, and the practical challenges facing legal and compliance leaders in an era of rapid technological change.
